Pechauer Cues JP Series

J. pechauer cues are made by Jerry Pechauer and his son Joseph.  Jerry started working on and building cues over 30 years ago.  I've heard a lot of good things about Jerry's choice of wood for his shafts.  He has developed a process for harvesting, grading, drying and turning his shafts.

I've played with his cues and I liked the way they hit, especially the cues with a Duralite joint.  Most of his cues that I've seen have the stainless joint.

I would classify Pechauer Cues as a high-end production cue much like a Schon or Joss.  Personally, I think his shaft quality is superior, therefore, I'd recommend his cues over those for playability.

Where to buy J. Pechauer Cues:

I've searched and found some Pechauer cues for sale, listed on the right of this page.  That is, also, a good place to view a variety of Jerry and Joseph's cues to get a feel for his skills and to see the "market value" of his cues.

Otherwise, you can order a cue from Pechauer directly.  His contact information is below.

Best of luck on your cue search.

Cheers,
Skippy

I’ve been shooting for 50 yearswith all kinds of sticks. I bought a jp in 1988, I sill use it. In 2007 after a few beers too many, i had achance to pick out any stick I wanted FREE from a pool supply place in Altoona,PA. When I got home I noticed I had picked out the very same stick that I had. It was the same jp in my case, what r the chances of that? I’ve had them all and, in my opinion jp is the best.

Rick,
I will say that you are consistent, lol. Thanks for sharing you thoughts on JP cues. As I said, I really like the hit from the ones that I have played with.
Coincidentally, I played a lot of pool in Altoona for several years from 1987 thru the early 90′s. My first exposure to really strong players was playing at the old Brunswick Billiards pool hall in Altoona, PA. There aren’t too many places around today like the old Brunswick Billiards parlor, which has since closed many years ago. I lived in Altoona from 1987 to 1989. I bought a Meucci cue at a billiard supply store in Altoona back then. That was my first “real” pool cue.
Cheers,
Skippy
